Spring Fling, Lulu's 6th Birthday, and Lulu's First Easter!

Lulu had a busy weekend starting with her Spring Fling at school on Friday. Not only was it a day of fun hunting for eggs and decorating terracotta pots to plant flowers, it was also a very emotional day for us. It was Lulu's teacher's last day teaching at her school. Lulu loves Miss Anjella so much, as we do, and it won't be the same there without her. She has been an amazing teacher and has touched Lulu's little life tremendously. We give her so much credit for Lulu's growth and maturity over the past year. She has been patient, understanding, firm but comforting with her since she took over as lead teacher when Lulu's first teacher left. Anjella even put together a photo album of Lulu's first year at Childrens Lighthouse Learning Center for us. I am just so touched by her kindness and love for Lulu. We will surely stay in touch with Miss Anjella.

Lulu's birthday party was held at Big Air, and inflatable fun center. We had originally planned to have just a small birthday with only the family since we didn't want her to be overwhelmed. I then changed my mind since I really wanted her to have fun with other kids. Lulu did get overwhelmed at the end, but there was a lot of jumping and running around (a total of 80 minutes in 2 different rooms), so it was understandable to me when she started having a mini meltdown. I was shocked though that she didn't take a nap afterward and actually stayed awake until 10pm! Part of it was probably her excitement that the Easter bunny was coming since we dyed eggs after her birthday party. Lulu was laughing a lot on Easter morning finding eggs in some funny places.

Lulu is not much of a candy eater, but did eat a lot of candy on Easter day. Fortunately, we had her second teeth cleaning this morning and she had no cavities.
